Hollow Dolly

You run your fingers through my hair
And gently handled me with care
With auburn eyes you stared a while
And I echoed back a warm, shy smile

You adored me lots…but went to go
To fetch those needles I hated so
You ignored to see my love for thee
And stuck those wretched spikes in me

Many I said your actions were sins
But the only reply was even more pins
And into the arch of my back they did
No matter how much I did forbid

I sadly saw where I stand in this game
And lowered my head in dishonor and shame
Used…abused….accused….and misused.
A broken toy…. is all I am to you.
